WIN A FREE 1 HOUR FLYING LESSON
Halfpenny Green Flight Centre has teamed up with Smooth Radio West Midlands to offer a free 1 hour flying lesson as a prize in Smooth's "Countdown to Christmas" competition. The lucky winner will receive a voucher to be used as payment for a 60 minute lesson in one of our single engine training aircraft or, if prefered, a flight simulator expereince flight.
The lesson will be offered as a prize on tuesday 15th December - listen to Smooth Radio on 105.7 for details.

Special IMC Training Offer
IMC training on a Piper Arrow for Warrior prices - Limited time only!
Complete an IMC rating with the Flight Centre on our IFR equipped Piper Arrow and pay Warrior prices (£160 per hour) when 5 hours are flown in our simulator (£145 per hour). Includes complex differences training or familiarisation training as required. IMC flying is also available at night on Thursday and Saturday nights.

Postal strikes
Please note that during the current industrial action by postal workers, we can not guarantee delivery times for trial lesson vouchers. However, we will be happy to hold the voucher for you so that you may collect it when you fly or at any other time to suit yourself.
Night Flying At Halfpenny Green
From 20th October 2009 until 27th March 2010, Halfpenny Green Flight Centre will night flying will be available on Thursdays and Saturdays. On on Thursdays we will be flying until 8pm (local time) and on Saturdays we will be flying until 7pm (local time). Simulator Experiences Now Available
If you don't fancy a trial flying lesson but would still like to get your hands on an aeroplane, why not try one of our new Simulator Experiences? We can offer a 30 minute or 60 minute experience for £75 and £140 respectively and you will have a choice of flying either a twin piston engined Piper PA34 Seneca or high performance twin turboprop engined Piper PA31T Cheyenne. Ideal for the nervous flyer, a simulator experience flight will help you to get a feel for flying without having to leave the ground. Click here for details.

DA42 undergoing engine upgrade at Diamond Factory
Our own DA42 G-FCAB is now having new Austro Diesel Engines fitted at the Diamond Factory in Austria. We are expecting the aircraft out of the hangar on 15/11/09 so will be back at Halfpenny Green shortly afterwards ready for Commercial Training. In the meantime we are continuing to provide CPL / IR Training on a Thierlert DA42.

We have decided to change The Flight Centre social this year to a Skittles Evening with buffet at 7pm on Friday 17th July at The Bell Inn, Tong, Shifnal, TF11 8PS (on A41). They offer a large room above their pub with a skittle alley, free of charge. The only charge they ask for is for the buffet, which is a wide spread including sandwiches, wraps, pork pies, sausage rolls, Indian snacks and all sorts of nibbles for only £4 per head.
Even if we haven’t seen you for a long time, it would be great to see you! Just pop in to see us or give us a call before the latest Sat 11th July and we can put your name on the list.
