Single Engined Commercial Pilot Licence SE-CPL(A)
The Single Engine CPL is a 25 hour syllabus covering General Handling, Instrument Flying and Visual Navigation. Initial training will be conducted on a PA28 Warrior, followed by an Arrow IV complex single aircraft which is required by the JAA for the issue of a CPL. You will be trained by one of our four highly experienced instructors who will provide uncompromisingly high standards of training on a one-to-one basis.
The recommended route for candidates who have a view to an airline career is the Multi Engine CPL.
| Phase | Aircraft and type of training | Length of training |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Basic Training on the PA28 Warrior | 15 Hours |
| 2 | Advanced Training on the PA28-200RT Arrow | 10 Hours |
The minimum complex training time is 5 hours; however from experience The Flight Centre has included 10 hours complex training. The 170A evaluation flight (authorisation for test) is flown with our in-house 170A examiner which is a mock of the CPL skills test. The 170A and CPL skills test will be flown from Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport over areas that the candidate is familiar with.
