Multi Engined Commercial Pilot Licence ME-CPL(A)

Commercial Pilot Training

The Flight Centre employs six full-time commercial instructors, whose total experience exceeds 14,000 hours; hence we are well placed to provide you with high quality one-to-one instruction. Our courses are run over a 3 week period with students whenever possible paired together for maximum training value (whilst one is under instruction the other observes from the rear seat).

The multi engine CPL is the recommended route for candidates training for the CPL/IR/MCC with the intention of pursuing an airline career as this will give a higher amount of twin engine time on your licence.

The 28 hour course covers all aspects of General Handling, Instrument Flying and Visual Navigation. The course is divided into 3 phases which is detailed below:

Phase Aircraft and type of training Length of training
1 Basic Training on the PA28 Warrior 13 Hours
2 Basic Instrument Training on the FNPT2 Simulator 5 Hours
3 Advanced Multi Engine Training on the DA42 Twinstar 10 Hours

The 170A evaluation flight (authorisation for test) is flown with our in-house 170A examiner which is a mock of the CPL skills test. The 170A and CPL skills test will be flown from Wolverhampton Airport over areas that the candidate is familiar with.
